New website for B4RN, a leading provider of broadband to rural communities

Posted on by

B4RN provides high-speed fibre optic connections to rural communities, making it possible for everyone to enjoy the benefits of world-leading broadband.

Established in 2011, B4RN now operates in parts of rural Northwest England, Cheshire, Norfolk and the Northeast, offering the world’s fastest rural broadband to remote locations considered too expensive by commercial operators.

Project

We were approached by B4RN to develop a new website that easily shows their unique offering. It was important that the refreshed website clearly communicated the scale and scope of B4RN’s rural broadband capabilities, seamlessly serving their wide target audience of current and prospective customers, volunteers, employees and the wider public.

Strategy

We worked closely with the team at B4RN, establishing key messaging early in the project and taking the time to understand their important values, which we’ve woven into each page. The fresh website design combined with a friendly and inclusive tone of voice celebrates B4RN’s work, encouraging visitors from all locations to get involved.

By sharing B4RN’s story, recognising the work of volunteers and showcasing successes, audiences can quickly get a sense of what the growing rural broadband provider has to offer. We’ve made sure that the new website highlights all the ways B4RN benefits rural communities, sharing real-life cases of businesses and homes with B4RN broadband operating smoothly in remote locations.

UX optimisations

Our skilled web development team integrated B4RN’s in-house database, so that prospective customers can receive up-to-date information on availability in their area. We’ve also spruced up the service status tracker, keeping B4RN customers in the loop every step of the way and placing customer satisfaction at the forefront of the user experience. A smooth user journey means current and prospective customers can discover what they need with the click of a button, finding information, receiving help, and signing up with ease.

The successful launch of B4RN’s new website means that their messaging now reaches those who need to hear it most, reflecting their continuous growth, and providing adaptability to support future plans.
