Place-led, people-powered: the impact of We Are Undefeatable in BwD campaign

Posted on by

We loved every moment of the We Are Undefeatable in Blackburn with Darwen campaign – a bold, data-driven, place-led campaign, featuring 16 local storytellers whose voices brought the work to life.

The Impact & Learnings Report is now here and it showcases the challenges, learnings, principles, creative and impact – which can serve as a blueprint for any organisation seeking positive change.

In a resident survey, two-thirds of respondents in Blackburn with Darwen were aware of the campaign and 45% indicated they they are now taking steps to be more physically active. In total, the campaign is estimated to have reached over 1.4 million people across multiple channels.

A Sport England funded initiative, this was a truly collaborative campaign with the national We Are Undefeatable team, Age UK, Together an Active Future, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and a host of other brilliant organisations and people – including Alison Whittaker-Stewart and Peter Dutton.
