My first job was washing lorries for my Dad’s business. This involved getting up at 5:30am on Saturday mornings to scrub filthy lorries. It was a real introduction to earning money through hard graft.
I have quite an eclectic taste in music, but I love heavy metal and hard rock, so my answer to this is probably Subliminal Verses by Slipknot or Toxicity by System of a Down. I can’t choose one!
The one that I always come back to is Tuesdays With Morrie. It reminds you of what’s important in life. My favourite fiction book is Recursion by Blake Crouch, because I have a weird love for books involving time travel. And the one that has had the biggest impact on my career is Essentialism by Greg McKeown, which helps me separate the vital few from the trivial many.
Spotify and Audible. I spend most of my day listening to music, books or podcasts.
Most treasured possession?
My climbing gear! I’m really into rock climbing and mountaineering. Taking good care of my climbing gear can quite literally be the difference between life and death.
Favourite places to visit?
I love climbing, and the beauty of this sport is that it can take you to some wild places. I love being in places that are inaccessible to most people. When I’m sat halfway up a huge cliff belaying my partner looking out at the incredible view, that’s my happy place.
Tell us something we don’t know about you...
I used to be part of the team running the podium at Silverstone for the Formula 1. I’ve met most of the F1 drivers and lots of famous people, including Prince Harry. As a big F1 fan, this was an incredible experience.
