My first ever job was at high school as a photographer for a magazine project at Storey Art Gallery in Lancaster.
What's your favourite animal?
Anybody that knows me knows I absolutely love dogs - specifically Springer Spaniels. I do also love mine and my partners' two cats Luna and Polo who never fail to make me smile.
It's hard to pick one! Some of my favourites are anything by Nirvana, Glass Animals, Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Everything Everything etc. My music taste is pretty varied. (Photo of Alex Turner by Tom Cookson)
Tell us something we don't know about you...
I had my poetry published when I was younger - not something I talk about a lot.
Favourite holiday destination?
Nothing beats the Northumberland coastline. The beaches are incredible and it's such a relaxing place to be.
The best meal you've ever cooked?
Me and my partner accidentally discovered Hunters Chicken Lasagna one evening and it's still my favourite to make.
Easy - Bad Boys 2. I'd say Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift is a close second.
If you won the lottery what's the first thing you'd buy?
A new house for me and my partner as well as a house in the Lake District for my parents.
At university I specialised in the experiences of WW1 nurses so there are a few that mean a lot to me - Testament of Youth by Vera Brittain, The Forbidden Zone by Mary Borden and The Backwash of War by Ellen N. La Motte.
What did you want to be when growing up?
I've wanted to be a lot! The very first thing I wanted to be was a vet, but I've also wanted to be an artist, musician, writer and nurse.
