Alex describes himself as a lover of all things tech. He is a specialist in digital marketing.
Alex grew up in Canada before moving to the UK to study, where he gained a master’s degree at Lancaster University.
My first job was as an apprentice for my friend's father's construction company. It was great, on the Sunshine Coast near Vancouver. My favourite part was the very scenic ferry ride in summer. Unbeatable!
Most treasured possession?
My laptop, longboard and snowboard.
I grew up on Linkin Park’s first two albums. Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” is up there too!
The Star Wars saga and Lord of War - one of Nicolas Cage’s better films!
Favourite holiday destination?
Vancouver & Whistler, Canada. Nothing beats flying down hills on boards. Ever since I moved away I’ve been working to make my way back.
What did you want to be when growing up?
I wanted to be in a rock band, I love drumming. At one point I really wanted to go into Martial arts. I practiced a lot of tae kwon do and kick boxing growing up.
Favourite app or website?
Spotify - I listen to music religiously.
The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. A close friend of mine gave it to me prior to moving to the UK. He left a note in the front I often read. Anything to do with physics or astronomy is always a winner too!
If you won the lottery what's the first thing you'd buy?
A shiny new snowboard and something for my family. I’d throw some into the stock market and real estate too.
Who would be your ideal dinner guests?
I’d love the opportunity to speak with Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos or Stephen Hawking (RIP). Figuring out what makes them tick would be terribly interesting.
