Transforming an innovative technology
brand for a better world
Onunda
The project
Onunda’s revolutionary green technology aims to transform sewage into clean energy and valuable nutrients.
We were tasked by the founders of GetGo – as the business was then called – with exploring the rationale for creating a new brand name, identity and broad range of assets to help position this innovative technology business for future growth as it seeks to engage investors and industry stakeholders.

The Strategy
Our strategy process led to a new company name alongside a total brand refresh. This needed to appeal to their target audiences; including potential customers, investors, technology partners and policymakers; and to be unique in a disruptive market, and meaningful to their mission. ‘GetGo’ became ‘Onunda’ – a Norse word for Windermere.
Inspired by nature, the Onunda brand identity is forged through a visual language that incorporates textures and elements derived from the natural environment, including flora, fauna, water, and wildlife.

The Results
Onunda launched at the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit which was attended by over 500 global businesses. The company now has the potential to eradicate the nearly 1 million tons of sludge produced by the treatment of sewage in the UK, and instead turn that waste into a source of energy, nutrients and value.
