Increase direct bookings and return visits to a popular independent hotelThe Duke of Edinburgh Hotel
The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel

The Project
The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel occupies a beautiful Victorian building in Barrow, Cumbria, at the tip of the Furness peninsula, close to the Lake District.
The Duke has been refurbished and renovated over the past decade to offer a contemporary luxury accommodation, a great bar and food overseen by multi-award-winning chef Steven Doherty. Steven is the first Briton in history to run a three-starred Michelin restaurant, which he maintained over a five year period.
The Duke of Edinburgh is Barrow’s premier town centre hotel offering luxury en-suite accommodation, cask ale bar, and a subterranean restaurant, bar and function room.
Objectives
Hotfoot is responsible for helping to drive direct hotel bookings and for encouraging repeat visits, as well as driving people within the region to visit for lunch, afternoon teas and dinner. Rather than offers and promotions, our work is focused on communicating the core proposition.
The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel is owned by Lancaster Brewery.
